One of the main advantages to using AutoMation is that as you write invoices, write cheques, and write purchases orders, AutoMation is helping you do your bookkeeping. To make it easy to perform regular tasks, AutoMation saves information on various lists so you don’t have to retype it each time you need it. For example, in the client list, you can save addresses, phone numbers, and payment terms that apply to a customer.

Accounting
It is not essential for
the operator to have a full understanding of the accounting
processes as Automation is programmed to allocate certain
transactions to specified accounts. An example is parts and labour
these are linked to an income account so there is no need to set the
posting account. Likewise inventory purchases are posted to accounts
payable and inventory asset accounts. A standard chart of accounts
is included in the data set of AutoMation, the chart of accounts can
however be changed to suit an individual business. Accounts can be
deleted, edited or added.
